Brent Dickens / Pola Design →

Pola was started in 2017 from a small office in Seaview, Petone. Before starting Pola, I worked with some top class design agencies on projects for large government agencies, corporates, not for profits, telcos and more.

I have always loved designing for digital whether it is a website, e-commerce store, app or email newsletter. Creating something interactive that can be accessed and used by anyone on any device is my thing!

Being around other creative professionals, collaborating and sharing ideas is really helpful for the design process. That's what my dog Mali and I think is one of the great things about being at Mo-co.

On the weekends I love spending time with my two kids, going to the gym and running a wedding DJ company.

Esther Chua / Thinkspace →

I started Thinkspace in 2003, working from a corner of the dining room table. I’ve been lucky to work with some amazing people and companies – from start-up businesses to multinational white-ware manufacturers.

My absolute passion though, has always been in children’s educational publishing. Acknowledging the part that good design plays in a child’s learning is hugely rewarding. Plus, its loads of fun - designing for kids gives license to think like a big kid!

My corner of the dining room table has slowly spread to an awesome, creative shared space at Mo~co. Im excited about the possibilities for collaboration between the talented people I share the space with.

When I’m not at work, you can usually find me trying to keep up with my 2 children, aged 5 and 8.

He manages a friendly team of talented DJ's and support staff, and delivers a bespoke approach for each event, making each event unique and memorable.

You'll also find "Disco Dean" behind the decks where he has been a regular feature in the Wellington gig scene for the past 20 years.

Ash Patel / subcreators →

Subcreators is a media production company that I started with Raymond Leaia. We’re a pair of visual storytellers who love to create within the realms of video and animation. Although we’re new to the industry, we’re ready to make a positive change in our communities!

I’m particularly interested in creating work that will benefit kiwis’ mental health. Severe forms of mental illness and distress has affected my family and I feel that it is my purpose to give certain communities a voice through digital media.

I’m excited to be in the presence of other creative people at Mo-co! When you put creatives in the same space, ideas start to flow and it’s something we can all feed off.

Other than animating or ‘video-ing’, I love creating music and taking part in boxing and basketball in my spare time. Eating is something I’m also very passionate about and being half Samoan and Indian, I get to experience the best of both worlds!
