Growing up on a farm in Nelson, Ange discovered a passion for creativity from a young age. Her first studio was in a farm shed at the age of 7.
During her teens, Ange was involved in the arts community in Nelson, completing a number of murals and crewing various festivals.
She moved to Wellington 2002 and started children's clothing label SilverCircus where she designs, sews and incorporates screenprinted images in collaboration with local artists.
Ange has been involved in various community projects, including setting up and running The Petone Depot. This has meant her art practice has taken a backseat, but what you see here is the result of a recent return to painting. The works are inspired by the surrounding environment – the nearby beaches, urban landscapes, and the cloudscapes above. She is looking forward to progressing to working on a larger scale.
All artworks painted in acrylic, framed and ready for hanging/display
